Alligators are a part of the natural wildlife in Florida. Alligators are more active during the springtime (due to mating season) and may be observed more often by owners. Owners may observe alligators performing non-nuisance activities such as sunning on the banks of ponds/lakes or walking in the grass near the ponds/lakes. Owners and their guests should be aware of alligators and keep their distance at all times. Owners should also use caution when near a pond/lake so to not be surprised by an alligator who may be in the pond. Please DO NOT feed the alligators.
In the event that an alligator is becoming a nuisance (roaming throughout the community, entering private pools, etc.), then owners are welcome to call the Alligator Hotline at (866) 392-4286 or visit the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s website here: https://myfwc.com/wildlifehabitats/wildlife/alligator/snap/.
The Board of Directors would like to encourage owners to respect and appreciate the wildlife living in our community.
